Vision

A world in which electricity is abundant, universally available, and affordable to all, with much diminished air/water pollution, and much lower carbon footprint than today is possible. It can be achieved only with broad-based use of solar photo-voltaic technology in the energy infrastructure.

Solar has already achieved grid parity with retail electricity prices in most countries today.

Solar will achieve grid parity with wholesale fossil fuel based electricity prices by 2020 in most countries around the world.

Solar is already experiencing the largest capacity additions for electricity generation worldwide, beating out nuclear, hydro, wind, and bio-mass by a significant margin.

Solar can achieve 20% penetration of total electricity consumption without storage technology today.

Storage solutions continue to improve in technological capability and cost, which in the long run will enable solar to achieve penetration of electricity consumption well above 20%.
